Grand Ayatollah Sobhani: "Silence of so many Muslims in face of Zionist crimes is unprecedented in history of Islam"

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian urged Muslim countries to unite to force the Zionist regime to stop committing atrocities against people of Gaza and Lebanon.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian urged Muslim countries to unite to force the Zionist regime to stop committing atrocities against people of Gaza and Lebanon.

“Today, if we rely on the tradition of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and preserve and enhance our unity, and if Muslim nations unite, the Zionists will not dare commit such crimes”, President Pezeshkian said on Thursday during a meeting with Grand Ayatollah Ja’far Sobhani in the Iranian city of Qom.

The meeting took place during the president’s daylong trip to Qom, located south of the capital Tehran.

Pezeshkian further stated that his government is making continuous efforts to solve the country’s problems.

The country is facing imbalances in some fields like electricity and gas, he said, adding that the government hopes to provide fuel for factories and production centers by reducing consumption.

Ayatollah Sobhani, for his part, described as fundamental the slogan of “unity” proposed by the president based on Quranic verses and teachings of the first Shia imam, Imam Ali (AS).

The cleric also expressed regret that some Islamic nations even avoid verbally condemning the crimes of the Zionist regime against the massacre of Muslims, adding that the silence of so many Muslims in the face of such massacres is unprecedented in the history of Islam.

He further noted that resolving Iran’s problems is possible through wisdom and prudence.

Ayatollah Sobhani underlined the importance of the role of universities in Iran and called on the government to finish incomplete projects in Qom Province.
