AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hundreds of American Jews held a sit-in on Wednesday at the US Congress demanding Congress calls for a ceasefire in Gaza.
As thousands of U.S. Jews protested outside, over 350 were inside, including two dozen rabbis, holding prayerful resistance, according to the Jewish Voice for Peace.
In a tweet, Jewish Voice for Peace Now stated: “Arrests are beginning, but we won't leave until we get a ceasefire now and stop the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza!”
“For 75 years, the Israeli government has illegally occupied Palestinian land and ethnically cleansed their communities. Now, Gaza is facing genocide with full support from the U.S. and we're here as Jews to refuse complicity and say never again, for anyone,” said the Jewish group in a tweet.
