Head of Iran’s Seminary meets with Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz in Najaf

Ayatollah Arafi, head of Iran’s Seminary and his accompanying delegation, met and talked with Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Ishaq Fayyaz in Najaf city on Wednesday, June 7.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Arafi, head of Iran’s Seminary and his accompanying delegation, met and talked with Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Ishaq Fayyaz in Najaf city on Wednesday, June 7.

Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, head of Iran’s Seminary, and his accompanying delegation met and talked with Grand Ayatollah Ishaq Fayyaz in his house.

In this meeting, the Shia source of emulation considered the seminaries to be a source of protection for Shiites and Muslims throughout history, and especially the Najaf seminary was considered the protector of the Islamic organization of Iraq during many years of strangulation and oppression by the Baathists.

In addition, the top scholar considered the cruelty of Baathists and Saddam against seminaries as rare throughout history and said,” Najaf Seminary has maintained its identity with resistance and stability and has developed appropriately in recent years.”

He considered it necessary for the seminaries to pay special attention to the enemies and their conspiracies; he also highlighted the cooperation of the seminaries of the Islamic world, especially the seminaries of Qom and Najaf.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ayatollah Arafi, the head of Iran’s seminary, presented him with a number of newly published books on contemporary jurisprudence and presented a report on the current programs and activities of Iranian seminaries.
