AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On the occasion of Hazrat Masoumeh’s (SA) birthday and Karamat ten-day celebrations, Imam Reza holy shrine has offered 162 exquisite carpets for carpeting some spaces in Hazrat Masoumeh holy shrine.
Talking about the move, Malek Rahmati, deputy custodian of Imam Reza shrine, said, “Weaving of these carpets began three years ago based on the order of Hoj. Marvi”.
Rahmati added: “Carpet Company of Imam Reza holy shrine which is the key provider of holy shrine’s carpets is in charge of the move. To have a proper transfer and use of the carpets, all necessary cooperation has been done with the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) in Qom”.
He also said: “Carpets were all woven with great wool fibers and herbal colors. They have all been produced based on preferences and suggestions of the officials of holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA)”.
These carpets which are in fact gifts of Imam Reza (AS) for his sister were sent to Qom in order to cover porticos and courtyards of Hazrat Masoumeh holy shrine so that it could serve its pilgrims better than before”.
