AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the Swiss ambassador to Tehran to formally lodge a protest over Switzerland’s interference in the Islamic Republic’s internal affairs.
Nadine Olivieri Lozano was called in on Sunday following Switzerland’s “unprofessional and unconventional use of its embassy in Tehran to disseminate an image with a false flag” of the Islamic Republic, the ministry said in a statement.
Iran’s dissatisfaction and protest was conveyed to the Swiss ambassador.
The ambassador was also cautioned that such an unconventional move does not commensurate with the friendly relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Swiss Confederation, and therefore must be corrected.
Lozano, in turn, assured that Tehran’s concerns would be promptly conveyed to officials in her home country.
