AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The head of Iran's Islamic Culture and Communication Organization said interfaith dialogue is an effective step for religious life.
Speaking in the fourth round of dialogue between Islam and the East Assyrian Church on Saturday, Mohammad-Mahdi Imanipour said: "In the last 30 years, interfaith dialogue has been held in Iran with various topics."
Imanipour added: "This round of dialogues will be held with the important and fundamental topic of "faith and youth."
He also said: "The Assyrian community is an ancient nation among the nations of the East, which have common, deep, and inseparable ties with the history and civilization of Iran and Islam.
He reiterated that the foundations of Eastern Assyrian Christianity have always been related to Iranian, and to some extent, Islamic thought and culture in terms of belief and theology based on Eastern reading and understanding.
Imanipour added: "The Assyrian community has always had an influential presence in Iran before and after Islam, and perhaps the strengthening of this community in Iran by the decision of the Iranian Islamic rulers was due to these bilateral cultural links and commonalities."
