December 19 anniversary of 'Sadegh Ganji' martyr of Islamic Awakening

Martyr Sadegh Ganji is one of the first martyrs of the Islamic Awakening after the victory of the Islamic Revolution who unveiled the true face of hypocrisy in the region.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA):  Martyr Sadegh Ganji is one of the first martyrs of the Islamic Awakening after the victory of the Islamic Revolution who unveiled the true face of hypocrisy in the region.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Martyr Sadegh Ganji was born on May 26, 1963 in a religious family in Dashtestan. His father was a military man and at the time of Sadegh"s birth, his family was living in Fasa, Fars province, due to his father"s work assignment.

He finished the first and second grade of primary school in Firoozabad and the third grade in Noorabad, Fars. Sadegh was about 9 years old when he lost his father, and after his father death, he returned to his father"s house in Borazjan with his mother, three sisters and two brothers.

Sadegh"s adolescence coincided with the height of the people"s struggle against the oppressive regime, and it was not long before he reached the front lines of the struggle.

He writes in the book " A Part of My Life" that he participated in the revolutionary struggle at the age of 12 and was arrested by agents of the Secret Service (SAVAK). He was both a man on the battlefield and an outstanding student in science and education.

After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Ganji also tried to form Islamic associations of students and three popular and revolutionary institutions of the Revolutionary Guards of the Islamic Revolutionary Committee and mobilize the oppressed people in Borazjan.

In 1959, he went to Tehran to study religious sciences and was accepted with excellent grades in the entrance exam of Shahid Motahari High School.

With the beginning of the imposed war, Martyr Ganji, in addition to educational undertaking, from time to time went to the battle fronts as a missionary through the scientific and religious center, until the end of the imposed Iraqi war.

He got married in 1364, and Sobhan and Nader are the result of this marriage. In the same year, Ganji first witnessed the martyrdom of one of his comrades in arms and a close relative, and then his brother, Nader was martyred.

He was recruited by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and in 1965, when he was only 23 years old, he was assigned the job Iran"s  Cultural Attaché and head of the Cultural House of Islamic Republic of Iran  in Lahore, Pakistan. Sadegh quickly learned Urdu.

During his three and a half years in Pakistan, Martyr Ganji enlightened himself by attending all scientific, cultural and art gatherings, and his scientific and religious writings were published in the Pakistani press.

During her time in Pakistan, he authored 13 volumes of books on the country in areas such as Christianity in Pakistan, Women in Pakistan, Pakistani personalities, Pakistani parties and groups, Pakistan, and how the United States operates in Pakistan and Pakistani education.

Martyr Ganji was invited to a farewell ceremony during the days he was preparing to return to Iran, which marked his farewell to this world.

The ceremony was organized by literary writers, poets and journalists at the International Hotel in Lahore.

When Ganji arrived at the hotel to attend the ceremony, as soon as he got out of the car, he was brutally attacked by several thugs of arrogant powers and was martyred.

The cultural ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan was martyred by the extremist group of Sipah-e- Sahaba in Lahore, Pakistan, on December 19, 1969.

The body of this high-ranking martyr was laid to rest in Borazjan after being transferred to his hometown, next to, two martyrs of his family, Nader Ganji and Houshang Mazarei.
