AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Egyptian authorities confirmed that the Rafah border crossing in the southern besieged Gaza Strip was closed, on Thursday, in both directions.
Egyptian authorities informed the Rafah border crossing administration of closure in both directions due to anniversary celebrations of the 2011 Egyptian revolution.
The border crossing is scheduled to resume operations on January 27th, allowing passage in one direction only.
There are three crossings into the Gaza Strip and one of them is the Gaza-Egypt crossing known as the Rafah crossing in southern Gaza, which is specifically used for pedestrians.
