All illegal foreign forces in Syria should immediately withdraw: Al-Jaafari

Head of the Syrian Arab Republic’s delegation to Astana 11th meeting Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari stressed that all foreign forces, whose presence in the country is illegal, should immediately withdraw from the Syrian territory.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Head of the Syrian Arab Republic’s delegation to Astana 11th meeting Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari stressed that all foreign forces, whose presence in the country is illegal, should immediately withdraw from the Syrian territory.

During a press conference at the end of Astana 11th meeting on Syria on Thursday al-Jaafari said: ” There is a clear discrepancy in the stances taken by the US, France and Britain who have already agreed on the UN Security Council resolutions on commitment to Syria’s sovereignty; meanwhile these countries have been deploying their troops illegally in Syria,” added al-Jaafari.

The Syrian Diplomat noted that the allegations of western countries to settle the crisis in Syria do not seem to make sense since these countries continue to hinder the return of displaced Syrians to their homeland.

” The chemical weapons which have been delivered to terrorists in Idleb and those who allow them use such weapons against civilians in Aleppo raise many questions and we consider the Turkish regime a first suspect,” said al-Jaafari.

He added that the current round of Astana focused on the current situation in Idleb and the Turkish side’s non respect to its obligations under the Sochi Agreement.

The Diplomat said that non commitment of the Turkish side to the Sochi Agreement encouraged the terrorist organizations in Idleb to attack Aleppo, Hama and Lattakia with shells and to continue targeting civilians.

“The use of shells containing chemical substances by terrorist organizations indicate an escalation by the sponsors of terrorism,” he said.

Al-Jaafari clarified that the Turkish troops who entered the Syrian territory illegally in north-west Syria are changing the features of the areas in which they spread.

“We are in front of an aggression and a clear occupation carried out by the Turkish regime in violation of its commitments in Astana and the Sochi Agreement,” al-Jaafari said.
