(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Takfiri jihadist rebels carried out a powerful hit-and-run attack in the northern countryside of the Latakia Governorate tonight.
According to a military source in Latakia, the takfiri rebels launched the hit-and-run attack against a group of Syrian Army soldiers that were positioned at the town of Rabi’ain the Turkmen Mountains.
The source stated that the attack took place at 8 P.M. (local time) and resulted in the death of 9 soldiers.
Among the nine soldiers killed during this takfiris attack, at least three of them were officers in the Syrian Arab Army.
In response to this attack, the Syrian Army has already begun heavily bombarding the northern part of the Turkmen Mountains.
Since the Turkish troops arrived in northern Latakia late last month, the takfiri rebels have become more aggressive against the Syrian Army troops in the region.
