The Syrian authorities uncovered a workshop for manufacturing IEDs and shells in Burj al-Shams building along al-Masbah Street in the neighborhood. The workshop contained heavy weapons, mortar launchers, and large amounts of food and health supplies which the terrorists had seized.
The authorities also uncovered a base of operations for terrorists that contained a prison next to the exhibitions building in the neighborhood, finding inside it torture devices, mortar launchers, Grad rockets, communications equipment, and power supplies, in addition to uncovering a field hospital near Burj al-Khair building that the terrorists had been using.
Internal security forces entered al-Waer on Sunday after it was declared safe and were deployed in the Justice Palace, Police Department, state establishments, and the center of the neighborhood.
