Iran warns US on warships' moves in Persian Gulf

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Deputy Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Brigadier General Massoud Jazzayeri warned the US to be more careful about the movements of its warships in the Persian Gulf.

"The US should have more control and supervision on its fleet’s behavior in the Persian Gulf," General Jazzayeri said.

General Jazzayeri's remarks came in reaction to the news disseminated by the US sources claiming that the Iranian vessels have had unprofessional behavior in Persian Gulf waters.

"The news is either based on false reports or has other intentions," General Jazzayeri said.

He underlined that the Americans are guilty for any kind of unrest in the Persian Gulf, and said, "We warn again that the US armed forces should change their behavior."

The USNS Invincible Warship in an unprofessional move exited from international route and changed its way towards IRGC Navy vessels that were present in the region and got as close as 550 meters to the Iranian vessels by giving warnings.

Commander of IRGC Navy’s Zolfaqar Flotilla First Zone Admiral Mehdi Hashemi had reacted to that unprofessional act of the US warship in the Persian Gulf.

In relevant remarks in mid-March, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi warned that Washington is using every means to prevent the growth of Iran's deterrence power.

"Our enemies, headed by the US, are using all their power to control Iran's deterrence power," Fadavi said, addressing a ceremony in the Southern province of Khuzestan.

He, meantime, underlined that the enemies are aware of Iran's defense power, and said, "They are sure that they cannot harm our country by launching military war."
