(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The nationwide evacuations that were set to take place in the Aleppo, Damascus, and Idlib governorates on Sunday were postponed to a later date due to security concerns, reported a military source last night.
Militants from Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) destroyed several buses on Sunday that were attempting to travel to the besieged Shiite towns of Al-Fou'aa and Kafraya from the Turkish border; this forced the Syrian government to call off evacuations until further notice.
Despite the postponement, the Syrian government still allowed a number of buses to leave eastern Aleppo after they received confirmation that the road was clear of any security concerns.
Several buses still remain immobile in the Shiite towns of Al-Fou'aa and Kafraya, as they await approval from the government to transport the wounded and sick from the area.
