Yervan Blue Mosque, built in 1764-65, is a beautiful structure of the 18th century architecture in the city.

At the suggestion of Islamic Republic of Iran, the government of Armenia has registered the mosque as a historical and religious heritage with the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
