The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) killed at dawn Monday 23-year-old Ahmed Al-Sabrin during clashes with angry young men in Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah.

The young man suffered a serious bullet injury in the chest and succumbed to his injury shortly after he was admitted to hospital, according to local medical sources.

The clashes broke out when a large force of Israeli troops stormed the camp and kidnapped about five young men from their homes. The detainees are thought to be affiliated with the Hamas Movement.

The angry young men torched tires on the road leading to Nablus city near Beit El settlement and threw stones at the invading troops, who responded by firing live bullets and tear gas grenades.

The events were concentrated mainly in the vicinity of the UNRWA school in the camp.

The IOF hindered medical efforts to evacuate the wounded from the camp to Ramallah hospitals and prevented many journalists from covering the events.

The West Bank has seen growing tension and mass arrests since the disappearance of three Jewish settlers near Al-Khalil city.

Some political analysts expressed their beliefs in televised remarks on Sunday that the three young settlers had never been kidnapped and they hid themselves somewhere in order to create all that tension and make their government act violently against the Palestinians in the West Bank.
