Heading a high-ranking delegation, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the Pakistani Prime Minister entered the Razavi holy shrine on Monday, May 12th, and was officially welcomed by Rashidian, the General Governor of Khurasan Razavi province, and Dr. Abdulhusseini, the Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi. He made a pilgrimage to Imam Reza's (A.S.) shrine soon after his arrival to Mashhad.
According to the reports issued from Astan Quds Razavi website, Nawaz Sharif said to our correspondent, "I am very happy of being present in Mashhad and in the Razavi Holy Shrine, for Imam Reza (A.S.) is respected by all world Muslims."
"The Razavi illuminated Shrine is paid attention by all Muslims and Shi'ites across the world and thousands of Pakistani pilgrims travel to Mashhad to make pilgrimage to Imam Reza (A.S.) ", he reiterated.
The Pakistani Prime Minister added, "Astan Quds Razavi holds various cultural programs for Pakistani pilgrims and we welcome this exchange and relationship."
Stating that the architecture and constructions of the Razavi holy shrine are very beautiful, he said, "The spiritual atmosphere in the Razavi holy shrine delights the pilgrims."
It is worth noting that the Pakistani delegation ate lunch in the guest house of Imam Reza (A.S.).
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the Pakistani Prime Minister, entered Tehran on Sunday for hold talks with senior officials of Islamic Republic of Iran, investigating bilateral relations, and strengthening the economic cooperation. He leaves Mashhad for Islamabad after visiting the Razavi holy shrine.
