ISLAMABAD (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has started twice-a-week flight operation to Mashad, Iran, with direct flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.The first flight, PK 253, for Lahore-Quetta-Mashad sector took off from Allama Iqbal International Airport on Tuesday. The passengers were seen off by Director Marketing Sohail Yaqoob. Federal Minister for Provincial Harmony Riaz Hussain Peerzada and Iranian Consul General in Lahore Mohammad Hossein Bani Asadi were the guests of honour.The Iranian consul general welcomed the launch of PIA flight operation to Mashad. He said the flights will be beneficial for the people of Pakistan and Iran and will further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.Federal Minister for Provincial Harmony Riaz Hussain Peerzada said that PIA flight to Mashad will greatly benefit the Zaireen travelling to Mashad. /129
