(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) Al-Watan Newspaper, published on January 3 an article written by Abdulrahman Al-Wabili about sectarianism entitled “Why I am not a Sectarian?” in which He said “I am against the oppression, and I stand on the side of the oppressed, regardless of his sect, religion and race".Al-Wabili, who is a well-known Saudi writer, explained in his article the complementary factors which contribute in forming the human being. First is humanity sphere which differentiates people form animals, and contribute in forming their morals and values, besides the most important features which are mind and the innate love of good.Secondly, he mentioned that human being behaves and moves according to the values and concepts of his era which give him the characters of development and civilization. That is why we have not to judge people according to the values and ethics of another era.Nationalism is the third factors which contribute in forming the cultural aspect in human being and differentiate him from others. He explained that national civilization is a result of the efforts of all citizens, and the state depends on national unity, which is based on justice and equality between all components. He added that religion protects tolerance and noble human values, as well as dignity and the right to live, while doctrine (sect) interpret religion in different and not contradictory visions, depending on time and place and diligence diversity which enrich religious heritage and spiritual belief as a whole. Finally, he confirmed that doctrine (sect) is associated with religion and belief, not with humanitarian or nationalism and it should not involve in any factors which form moral and human values and therefor sectarianism is a sin. Thus he concluded that whoever calls for sectarianism is either a corrupt politician or ignorant cleric who does not differentiate between what harms and benefits him, and I am neither a politician nor a cleric, and I understand what would benefit me and harm me; for this I am not a sectarian./149
