(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) The Crime Investigation Department arrested two Lashkar-e-Jhangvi target killers on Saturday believed to be involved in more than 60 murders including those of Shia community members, policemen and Muttahida Qaumi Movement activists.DIG Ameer Ahmed Sheikh said a team led by CID Sectarian Cell chief Mohammad Fayyaz Khan raided a hideout in Orangi Town and after a shootout rounded up Sheikh Mohammad Mumtaz alias Sher Khan, alias Faraoon alias Shahzad alias Bhai, and Sajid Khan Mehsud.While searching the hideout, the police found two TT pistols, grenades, two rockets shells, 10 kilograms of explosive material, 10 kilograms of ball bearings, two detonators and five metres of electrical wire.The DIG said the two men confessed to killing over 60 people including policemen, doctors, Shias, Ahmadis, and activists of political parties.The two men told the interrogators that their chief, Hafiz Qasim Rasheed, had assigned them the task of killing journalists, senior police officials, jail officers, informers and militants belonging to other organisations. They also named some of the people on their hit list. They disclosed that there were about 10 groups of their organisation operating in Karachi receiving instructions and funds from chiefs, Naeem Bukhari and Hafiz Qasim Rasheed, who were in jail.They said they were also responsible for the torching of Nato armoured personnel carriers in Mauripur.They murdered ASI Asghar Tarar in Mominabad, ASI Jawed Iqbal in Iqbal Market, ASI Syed Murtaza Hassan in Pakistan Bazaar, SI Sher Mohammed in Mominabad, retired policeman Mohammed Bux in Pakistan Bazaar, ASI Malik Shamshad Ali in Orangi Town, and Constable Haji Jawed in Pakistan Bazaar.They killed MQM activists Habibur Rehman, Nadeem Akhtar, Rasheed Ahmed alias Negro and Maqsood Alam in the area falling under the Iqbal Market police station jurisdiction.They murdered Dilawar Khan alias Khan Sahab in Orangi Town, former UC nazim Waqar Ahmed Siddiqi in Orangi Town, Rabita Committee member Ishaq Ghauri in Orangi Town and 13 other MQM activists.They killed Sheikh Haseeb, a leader of Sipah-e-Sahaba, in Orangi Town as they suspected that he was a police informer. They killed Ahmed Hussain and Syed Mohsin Raza in Nazimabad area, both town municipal officers in SITE. In Iqbal Market, they murdered Syed Anjum Abbas Rizvi and Syed Asim Abbas Jaidee who had come from Parachinar. They killed Professor Syed Imran Haider Zaidi in North Nazimabad and six other people belonging to the Shia community in Iqbal market and Orangi Town.They also killed Dr Naseem Abbas Shah in Ferozabad, Syed Jawad Ali, an imambargah trustee in Khawaja Ajmer Nagri, a book shop owner Mirza Saeed Baig in Orangi Town; Haji Bostan in Iqbal Market, Qadir Bux, a matwali of an imambargah in Iqbal Market, and SSP activist Anu in Pakistan Bazaar for working as a spy. They had also murdered an Ahmadi doctor, Tahir Ahmed, in Landhi and Shamshad, an activist of the Sunni Tehreek, in Iqbal Market. They said they only killed policemen who belonged to the Shia community./149
