ISIL declares war on another rebel group in Syria

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The announcement by the ISIL came after newly-formed so-called Islamic Front rejected the presence of the al-Qaeda-affiliated militant group in the Arab country. According to reports, Abu Ubaida al-Adam, the head of the ISIL, has issued a fatwa authorizing the killing of all members of the Islamic Front. The Islamic Front was formed earlier in November in the Middle Eastern country after six major Takfiri militant groups fighting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government joined forces. In September, the foreign-backed militants of the so-called Storm of the North Brigade declared war on the ISIL. The announcement by Storm Brigade came after militants from the ISIL attacked the town of Azaz, 5 km from the Syrian-Turkish border on September 18, and killed at least five militant members. Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since March 2011. A recent British defense study showed that about 100,000 militants, fragmented into 1,000 groups, are fighting in Syria against the government and people. /149
