Grand Shia cleric slams Salafi groups

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Grand Shia cleric, Ayatollah Hossein Mazaheri lashed out at Salafi and similar extremist groups for their misdeeds and heinous measures.In the words of the religious erudite, Salafi groups slap any one down due to their takes running in counter to extremists’ verdicts and lines.“Issuing Fatwas is far and away the meanest moves that one can ever imagine,” said the religious cleric, stating that these groups try to deface Muslims and bent on maligning the divine religion of Islam.Ayatollah Mazaheri underscored that Salafi groups try to project a very grim picture of Muslims through decapitating innocent people, taking their toll on the lives of many people.The religious scholar in his erstwhile critics, sternly warned Muslims of the plausible threats of Salafi and Wahhabi groups.Due to scores of violence committed by extremist groups, Iranian religious scholars urged all the nations, organizations and foundations to stand against the Anti-Islamic wave in short order.In hard times like the present, religious pundits and thinkers urged Muslims to keep their unity. /129
