No justification for US strike on Syria: analyst

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Maj Gen (Retd) Jamshed Ayaz Khan said that any attack on Syria could place the whole world in a dangerous situation. “No doubt that the Zionist regime is behind the plan to destabilize Syria and the Muslim world,” he said. “You must keep one thing in mind that the Zionist regime is behind all problems in the world,’ noted the analyst. He said that Russia and China are against any attack on Syria because they are aware of the negative impacts of the war in Middle East. He urged major world countries to sit together and try to resolve the crisis in Syria peacefully. “War cannot solve the problem in Syria,” he viewed. “US must not attack Syria and let the path of peace to prevail,” said Ayaz Khan. he was of the view that the United Nations is a proper forum to settle disputes. The expert said Washington has failed to achieve anything by attacking Iraq and Afghanistan. “If Americans attack Syria they would be trapped there,” he opined. He underlined the need for consolidation of unity and solidarity among Muslims so that they could help restore peace to Syria. He referred to Iran and Pakistan as two major countries of the Muslim world which could help bring peace to Syria./149
