Iraq: Six suspects in Wajihiya mosque bombing arrested

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A security source in Diyala arrested six people suspected of their involvement in the bombing of a mosque yesterday that left more than 140 casualties, conflicting information about the attack nature.“The arrest process took place in accordance with intelligence as the detainees are likely to be linked with al- Qaeda and carrying out the attacks which targeted Wajihiya mosque,” said the source.The source revealed that the attack on Wajihiyamosque was carried out by roadside bombs that were placed inside the air condition machines in the mosque while another roadside bomb intended to target the commander of the Dijla operation was dismantled during his arrival to Wajihiya mosque to inspect the scene.He added that expanded investigations with the suspects will be revealed later./129
