Israeli doctors prescribe inappropriate medication for captives

Prisoners' Center for Studies said on Saturday that patient prisoners in Israeli jails complain about the medical neglect and lack of medicines even for patients with chronic diseases.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Prisoners' Center for Studies said on Saturday that patient prisoners in Israeli jails complain about the medical neglect and lack of medicines even for patients with chronic diseases.

The center said in a statement that "the prisoners suffering chronic diseases do not trust medicines prescribed by the prison doctor, due to reports confirming that drugs are being tested on prisoners, in addition to the lack of confidence in the prison doctor who deliberately harm the prisoners."

The Center charged that the martyrdom of patient prisoners proves the policy of medical neglect against the captives.

It pointed out that prescribing inappropriate medication for prisoners in Israeli jails had never ceased and called for raising the issue before the international medical institutions and human rights organizations.
