Lebanese shiite scholar forewarns Muslims of religious sedition

“Bolstering unity against any sedition in the Islamic societies is on each of Muslim’s shoulders,” said the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Lebanese Shiite.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - In his weekly sermon, the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Lebanese Shiite, Sheikh Abdol Amir Qeblan expatiated on the effects of politicians-nations collaboration and underscored that taking steps in solving the standing tensions in Muslims countries is on both people’s and officials’ shoulders. Abdol Amir Qeblan pointed to the prolonged turmoil in Iraq and said “It is incumbent upon Muslims in Iraq to avoid from derision and hatred toward each other, making a move for bringing the country out of dead-end. “ Meanwhile the religious leader demanded Iraqi politicians not to derelict in their duties and spare no effort in protecting their lands against the enemies. In another line of the sermon, Shia scholar beckoned to the standing predicaments in Syria and rapped the recent abduction of Christian clergies, stating that such measures run counter to religious and humane principles. He demanded Syrian opposition groups to avoid expressing any derogatory remarks or committing any violent measures toward abductees, releasing them pretty soon. The seasoned clergy pressed on the necessity of negotiations in the country and urged Syrian people to refrain from sedition so as so eradicate the standing chaos and save their country. Lebanese elite urged Muslims to shun quibbling over minor issues and lectured those of people who have cavalier attitude toward Islamic rules and regulation. Meanwhile he urged Muslims to exorcise past disputations, working in tandem to solve the standing problems in the Islamic World. The Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Lebanese Shiite forewarned the Lebanese officials of the neighboring chaos and its spillover to the soil of this country. “The enemies, through exploiting the standing uproar in Syria, try to penetrate in the region,” said the religious scholar stating that Muslim nations should be aware in such condition more than before. End item/ 149
