(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Hakimi made his statements at a session held on Sunday (November 11, 2013) on the Prophet in Iran’s fiction literature.
The session was arranged in the presence of caretaker of the Cultural Department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Director General of the Book Administration, and Mahmoud Hakimi.
In his address, Hakimi said that the present world is a profound one in which there is a lot to be sad or happy about. “We should be happy that many elites and wits are converting into the real Islam; and should be sad to witness such a bulk of enmity against our religion,” he asserted.
He went on to say that conversion into Islam began over 600 years ago by the time Allameh Amini’s Alghadir was published in Arabic in countries where the language was spoken. The book debunks Hadith about the spiritual greatness of Moaviyeh.
As he said, other books like Almorajeat by Allameh Mohsen Amin and Mohammad Tijani’s How Should I Get Guided and the Real Sunnis are other books which resulted in conversion of many into Shiism.
He further posited that Jews, Vahabbists and seculars were the ones who feared the conversion of people into Shiism have resorted to animosity against Islam; therefore, writers and authors should counter their attacks against Islam in their works by highlighting concepts like Muslims’ unity and the Prophet’s greatness.
Also in the gathering, Mohammad Reza Sarshar, writers and literary critic, delivered a speech in which he marked the importance of forming a movement in the society being commissioned to publish books about Prophet Mohammad and the Holy Quran in the world.
He said that writers should not think that writing biographies of the Prophet would be a futile job after a number of versions are published given the fact that the sea of his life is so enormous and deep that no diver can ever reach its end.
Elsewhere in his address, Sarshar said children and young adults can learn and become influenced by fiction books only when they are based on real historical evidence.
“It is impossible for anyone to get to know about the Prophet’s life through a good book and do not turn into a Muslim”, he went on to add.
