(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A professor of Al Mustafa University highlighted a fair distribution of wealth and just circulation of the assets as the solution of Qur’an to confront economic sanctions.
Hujjat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mofid Husseini Koohsari, professor at Al Mustafa international university, attending the conference on Qur’anic solutions to confront economic sanctions called the issue a scientific topic with theories in economic and religious literature.
He lauded the strategy of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei against economic sanctions and said,” Economic sanction is a planar issue including economy and politics,” and added,” It appears in economy as a result of the political confrontation between two powers.”
This Qur’an researcher also referred to some principles for political economy in Qur’an saying that in many cases the economic and political systems are inseparable.
He highlighted achieving honor and independence as well as maintaining security as two political aims of Qur’an.
Vigilance against domestic and foreign enemies, the relation between economy and politics is quite apparent in the economic principles of Qur’an including cooperation, necessity of forming an Islamic government and unity and solidarity.
“Economic sanction and the ways to handle the issue can be derived from many of the verses in Qur’an, that refer to the confrontation between Muslims and enemies of Islam,” he said.
Hujjat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mofid Husseini Koohsari counted managing (the general incomes of the Muslim society), Khums (alms) and a fair distribution of the wealth as the solutions recommended in holy Qur’an to handle the issue of economic sanctions saying, “These solutions are not merely for the time of war or economic recessions but since they were revealed to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) during the wars, it is wise to follow the guidelines through the time of war and economic boycotts.
