Shiite Cleric hails Hajj as grounds for Muslim unity

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A prominent Iranian cleric lauded Hajj as the foundation for boosting unity among Muslims calling the event an opportunity the utmost unity of all Muslims in practice.Hujjat-ol-Islam Ahmad Moballeghi, Head of the Proximity Research Center counted the outstanding features of Hajj saying the event includes different Islamic aspects.On the potential grounds of Hajj to strengthen Muslim unity he said, “During Hajj, it is possible to witness the utmost unity of Muslims in Fiq’h as well as practical fields.”Head of the Research Center at Iran’s Parliament highlighted the realization of political, social, economic and cultural aspects in Hajj as another important feature for Hajj and added,” If we boost all aspects of Hajj in line with developing and promoting Islamic unity, then we will have great achievements.”Iranian scholar also underscored the unifying elements of Hajj and stressed, “Regarding the wide participation of Shia and Sunni Muslims in Hajj, this great event has to be set as an axis in Muslim communities and the intermingling of the individual members of Islamic communities in Hajj be highlighted.” /129
