Parachinar: Extremists open fire, Shiite Shokat Hussain Martyred

According to reports, a Shiite named Shokat Hussain was martyred when extremists belonging to the banned terrorist group Sipah-e-Sahaba opened fire on him. He was targeted as he was on his way to Sada Bazaar in Parachinar.

The Shiite was initially injured due to the firing and was shifted to the PCR Hospital, but he died soon after from his injuries.

Targeting Shiites has become common in Parachinar as Shiites are targeted daily at the hands of these terrorists. Shiites travelling along the road from Peshawar to Parachinar are, also, often attacked. A bus was targeted a few days ago, where the terrorists threw acid at it, which left 3 Shiites, including a woman, injured.

Karachi : Shia Advocate 'Waqar Hussain' embraces Martyrdom

An advocate who was recently targeted, namely, advocate Waqar Hussain, on Martin Road near Teen Hatti has embraced martyrdom.

Details report that the terrorists of the banned outfit Sipah-e-Sahaba targeted the advocate on 12th of October 2012. Advocate Waqar Hussain S/O Ahmed, who is a member of Karachi Bar Council, aged 60 and a resident of Nazimabad No.2, near Jamia-e-Imamia was taken to the Aga Khan hospital for further treatment after the injury, where he was being operated for 4 consistent days.

According to the latest reports, Advocate Waqar Hussain has embraced martyrdom, where he could not survive the fatal wounds.

It should be clear that Waqar Hussain is not the first victim who has been targeted on the basis of being a Shi’ite advocate. Last two years saw Advocate Mukhtar Bukhari, Advocate Badar Jaffri, Advocate Qafeel Jaffri, Advocate Shakeel Jaffri and Advocate Ali have been targeted on sectarian grounds by the terrorists of the banned outfit SSP.
