Member of Iran’s Expediency Council stressed the necessity of boosting Muslim unity as the message of Ghadir Eid and called the occasion as a very good opportunity for resolving disagreements.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Member of Iran’s Expediency Council stressed the necessity of boosting Muslim unity as the message of Ghadir Eid and called the occasion as a very good opportunity for resolving disagreements.Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Akbar Gherashi, Iranian cleric and member of Expediency Council called the international Ghadir Conference as a proper opportunity to solve the disagreements and sending the message of Ghadir to Muslims.He said,” Those who call Ghadir as the grounds for disagreement among Muslims are trapped by the plots of the enemies.” And added,” Once Ghadir is explained to all, Muslim unity will be achieved because Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) recommended Muslims to obey his holy household (AS) and Qur’an in the same on this day.”Iranian religious figure also said, “Certainly Muslim unity around the axis of Ahlul Bayt (AS) and Qur’an as one of the aims of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and those who reject that as a controversial issue are in fact questioning the monotheism of God Almighty.”He warned against Shia-Sunni disagreement as the main axis for the enemies and stressed the importance of holding such conferences and active participation of prominent figures from different denominations the measure which foils the plots of the enemies.Ayatollah Gherashi also underlined Ghadir to be animportant principle in Islam since spread of Islam necessitates a leader, a principle which is initiated in Ghadir Eid.Representative of West Azerbaijan in Iran’s Parliament called international Ghadir Conference a great step in paying tribute to the high status of Imams (AS).“Ghadir Eid Sermon can be the map for Islamic Awakening because if Islamic Awakening does not lead to prevalence of divinities, it is not different from tyranny.”International Conference on Ghadir Days kicked off on October 13th in the Iranian capital of Tehran to discuss the different aspects of Ghadir event and its role in boosting Muslim unity. /129
