Kuwait: Anti-Shiite columnist released on bail

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Columnist Mohammad Al-Mulaifi was released from jail yesterday after serving a six months’ sentence for offending the Shiites in a column posted online. Al-Mulaifi was reportedly set to be released last week, but the Interior Ministry had insisted that there was still one more week left for his sentence to run out. The Criminal Court had initially sentenced Al-Mulaifi for seven years in prison on hate charges before the Appeals Court reduced the jail term to six months./129
