Hamas official and former prisoner Abdulbasit Al-Haj called on Fatah faction at home and abroad to necessarily form a unified leading movement of their own in Israeli jails to participate in protest activities held by prisoners from other factions.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Hamas official and former prisoner Abdulbasit Al-Haj called on Fatah faction at home and abroad to necessarily form a unified leading movement of their own in Israeli jails to participate in protest activities held by prisoners from other factions.

In a press statement to the Palestinian information center (PIC), Haj stressed the importance of such step and said the prisoners from Fatah are a big number and their coordination with other prisoners would strengthen their position in the face of the Israeli jailer.

"All Palestinian factions have unified leadership in jails, except for Fatah," he underscored.

Mostly, Fatah prisoners do not participate in protest activities held by the captive movement in Israeli jails because they receive monthly allowances from their faction and they fear their participation will affect their financial position, especially since Fatah leadership has security relations with the Israeli occupation.
