(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The two-day experts meeting will be followed by the NAM's foreign ministerial meeting on August 28 and 29. The experts meeting was aimed at drawing up the agenda for the 16th heads-of-state summit meeting of the bloc to be held in Tehran on Thursday and Friday.
The experts meeting was held within the framework of two political and economic committees headed by the Cuban and Egyptian envoys respectively.
Over 150 world states and global bodies have sent their representatives to the NAM meeting in Tehran.
Iran announced last week that 100 world states have underlined their participation in the NAM summit despite enemies' attempts to prevent the presence of certain guests in the conference.
"The presence of 100 NAM members in Tehran is for sure, thus far," Director-General of the Iranian Presidential Office for International Affairs Mohammad Reza Forqani told reporters in a press conference in Tehran at the time.
Also, a senior Iranian legislator praised the NAM member states' unprecedented and massive participation in the summit despite all enemy efforts and propaganda to keep the world leaders away from Tehran.
"The NAM member states' welcome to the Tehran conference is massive and unprecedented in the history of the Movement's meetings," Secretary of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Mohammad Hassan Asafari told us on Monday.
"The Americans were attempting for over two months to display Iran as too insecure to host the summit but fortunately, the meeting received a warm welcome from the member states and even the international organizations," he added.
