North Korean Foreign Minister Pak Ui-chun arrived here Sunday to attend the 16th meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), underway in the Iranian capital from August 26-31.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Upon arrival, the North Korean foreign minister was welcomed by the Iranian officials at the airport.

Over 107 delegates from different world countries arrived in Tehran to take part in the 16th NAM meeting including its experts and ministerial meetings as well as the summit.

The experts meeting of the 16th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement was officially started here Sunday morning with the speech by Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi.

The two-day meeting will be followed by the meeting of NAM's foreign ministers on August 28-29 and the summit is to be held on August 30-31.

The 16th summit of NAM member states will be held in the Iranian capital from August 26 to 31.

NAM is an international organization with 120 member states that is not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc. Nearly two-thirds of the countries of the United Nations are also NAM members.

NAM is the biggest international organization after the United Nations General Assembly.
