An Iranian religious figure condemned attack against Islamic holy sites saying the measure aims at bringing disunity among Muslim communities.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Hujjat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, Secretary General of Ahlul Bayt World Assembly said the enemies misuse Wahhabis to realize their aim, waging sedition among Muslims.He slammed a recent explosion near the holy shrine of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (AS), seventh Shia Imam, and said,” Sacrilege of Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), is a series of plots by the enemies which are aimed at disagreement among different Islamic denominations.”Shia cleric added, “Enemies, in a bid to achieve their objectives, focus on a group of extremist and ignorant Wahhabis, as agents to carry out their hostile plots.”He referred to a background of demolition of Islamic holy sites by Wahhabis and denounced the measure which is still prevalent.“Now that Islam has had a satisfactory promotion and Islamic Awakening is opening its way among different nations, enemies let the opposing movements to commit crimes and carry out explosions.” Hujjat-ol-Islam Akhtari said.He also referred to the explosions in the holy shrines of Imam Hadi and Imam Hassan Askari (AS) in Samarra in 2007 and suicide bombings during the martyrdom anniversaries of Imams (AS) across different Iraqi cities and said the enemies hoped to discourage Muslims towards Ahlul Bayt (AS).He praised the straight reaction of Al-Azhar and Egyptian scholars against similar moves to attack Islamic holy sites in Egypt.Prominent cleric said the similar moves in Iraq are aimed at destabilizing the country, waging sedition among Shia and Sunni and hindering the moves for development of Iraq.Religious and cultural figure stressed vigilance as the solution to confront these agents and stressed informing the public and security forces about these agents.He said such moves can never fade the beliefs of the people or undermine Shia Sunni unity. /129
