This wall, adjacent to the Fatima border-gate has an aim of depriving those people who visit the Lebanese borders from seeing the Occupied Palestine, especially that the Fatima gate is a major point which people visit, it is one of the symbols of victory and liberation.
The Israeli enemy tried to relinquish all attempts of reviving the victory against Israel, also erase the memories of Israel's defeat. It also wanted to protect itself with the 7-meter high wall. Yet, the Lebanese turned this concrete wall into a piece of resistance art. An atelier was held on the borders; the people drew on the cement blocks and wrote messages and graffiti on resistance and liberation, freedom, on the Palestinian plight and else.
Also, a football court for children is located now near the wall, which put the Israeli enemy on alert, which in its turn set up surveillance cameras and soldiers who are to watch the wall 24 hours a day.
It is worth mentioning the wall is 1192 meters long, and was built during a process that witnessed tension between the occupying Zionist army and the Lebanese army, which forced Israel several times under pressure to stick to the correct points of borders. Israel, during the wall building process, had attempted several times to engulf land that belongs to Lebanon.
