(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The conference which marks the 64th anniversary of Nakba, was attended by several faction leaders, a number of MPs, ministers and national personalities. Dr. Mahmoud al-Zahar, Hamas Political Bureau member and the head of the Conference, said that the changes in Egypt after the Arab spring and the support of the Egyptian people for the Palestinian resistance will bring liberation of land and return of refugees closer than ever.
"The Palestinian fundamentals do not change according to circumstances or over time”, Zahar said, "Those who go against our rights go against our fundamentals. There is no Palestinian who would give up his right to return to his land and holy places. Anyone who limits our right of return to 1967 territories does not understand the Palestinian fundamentals." He stressed that it is impossible to put the Palestinian fundamentals and sanctities at the negotiating table with the occupation.
He added that the Palestinian factions’ unity and the prisoners' victory in occupation prisons, and the Palestinian people victory during the war on Gaza in late 2009 make return closer.
For his part, Dr. Mohammed al-Hindi, Jihad movement political bureau and the vice president of the conference, said that they will achieve victory in all future confrontations, insisting that maintaining Palestinian fundamentals can only be achieved through armed resistance.
"Occupation and its agents could not deceive us by its tricks especially that about the two-state solution and the political process that they claimed will fulfill our aspirations and achieve a state or quasi-state with eastern Jerusalem as its capital city", he added.
Mohammed al-Hindi further said that the US could not force Israel to freeze settlement activity for three months "our people discovered their way and cannot be fooled again," he said, calling on Palestinian factions to create a national command and program that overcomes Oslo, keep the Palestinian fundamentals, and protect resistance.
Liberated prisoner Tawfiq Abu Naim stressed that the Palestinian issue returned to the Arab and international interest after the Arab spring and the rebirth of the nation again.
The head of the Islamic Waqf department in Akkar, Malek Jdeida, who is visiting Gaza within Ansar 2 convoy, said that victory could be achieved through the unity of people and leadership, adding that the Palestinian fundamentals could not be subjected to compromise or negotiation, and insisting that Palestine is the cause of the whole Islamic world.
Representative of the Orthodox Christian community, Anton Shuhaiber, stressed on the Palestinians' right have their property restored to them and to get compensated for their suffering and exile since the Nakba.
Saud Aby Mahfouz, a member of the Executive Office of Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood, who is visiting Gaza within a Jordanian convoy stressed also on the adherence to right of return, pointing out that he is a refugee and he is visiting Palestine for the first time in his life thanks to the resistance liberation of Gaza.
