(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Iranian Shia cleric has underscored the importance of mosques as the birthplace for regional uprisings against the oppressive powers.

Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani, top Iranian jurisprudent and professor at Qom Seminary met with the managers of Centers for Mosque Affairs stressed the need to explain the importance of mosque for the people and referred to the stance of mosques in all social and political activities since beginning of Islam.

He said the unity of people is formed and strengthened in mosques and that is the reason behind a successful resistance of Muslims against cultural invasions of the enemies.

Senior Shia cleric referred to the increasing attention of the world people to religious affairs and said Middle East movements have started from mosques and Friday prayers.

He also highlighted the necessity of creating an attractive and educational atmosphere in mosques.
