(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The first official meeting of the Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions (CRIF) and officials of the Grand Mosque in Paris will be held on January 17 in the capital city of Paris.
According to Saphir news website, the meeting will be attended by Dalil Abubakr, head of the mosque and former head of French Muslim Council and Richard Prasquier, president of the Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions (CRIF).
“Unity of Jews and Muslims for citizenship rights” will be the title of the meeting in which the participants will discuss the necessity of unity among religious minorities, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence among followers of Christianity, Islam and Judaism and methods for boosting cooperation among Muslims and Jews in the framework of France's laws.
Issuing an announcement, the mosque officials said that the meeting is regarded as an opportunity for promoting cooperation between Islam and Judaism, and stressed that “the mosque will object to the CRIF’s silence towards Israeli crimes in Palestine.”
