(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The protesters, forced to leave their original camp in George Square and moved to Kelvingrove Park offered by city council, set up their second camp in Blythswood Square.
Paddy McManus, an Occupy Glasgow member, said they decided to establish the second camp in support of the protesters evicted from camps in Oakland, Wall Street and the due eviction in London.
"This is part of an international day of action against the banks. We are going to try to persuade people to move from banks to credit unions,” McManus added.
Another occupy protester, Mark Porciani, also said the second camp was about “proving that while they try to clear us out in one part of the world we will pop up in another part."
The Occupy members believe that their new camp would face no more council opposition, as it is located on private property.
"We are effectively out of the council's hair in this site but we will be negotiating with our neighbours here. We want to respect the area and will be doing litter picks and things to look after it," McManus added.
Glasgow City Council confirmed the area was private property and the residents should decide over taking possible course of action.
Occupy London Stock Exchange have been told to leave their tents set up outside St Paul's Cathedral on Thursday evening before facing legal actions. However, LSX protesters announce they would not leave the area and “would appeal against any legal attempt to force the protesters out.”
US occupy protesters, evicted from a New York park staged a protest against the eviction plan on Thursday with a rally to commemorate the two month anniversary of the movement's birth.
