Tehran Friday Prayer Lauds Imam Khamenei's Views on Islamic Awakening as Roadmap for Muslim Nations

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Tehran's provisional Friday Prayers Leader Hojjatoleslam Kazzem Sediqi praised the insightful remarks made by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on popular uprisings and Islamic awakening in the region, and described the Leader's statements as a strategic roadmap for the regional nations.

Addressing a large number of worshipers here in Tehran today, the cleric pointed to the Supreme Leader's keynote speech at the First International Islamic Awakening Conference in Tehran last week, and stressed that the recommendations and guidelines presented by Ayatollah Khamenei during the meeting served as a "strategic charter" for Islamic states.

Hojjatoleslam Sediqi said that in his key address the Leader outlined the nature of the recent uprisings, warned about their weak points and vulnerabilities and offered provided recommendations and suggestions to the revolutionary nations.

Addressing the conference here in Tehran last Saturday, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei lauded the regional nations' uprisings and revolutions in recent months, and said the nations of the region started these movements in a bid to revive their national honor, hoist the flag of Islam and fight back the US hegemony and the Zionist regime.

Ayatollah Khamenei advised the regional people who have gained victory in their popular uprisings against their tyrannical rulers to keep vigilant against enemies' plots.

"Becoming too proud, assuming enemies as ignorant, trusting the enemy, feeling too much pride and underestimating the enemy are amongst the biggest dangers facing the regional nations," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

He cautioned that "the West attempts to continue its hegemony over the countries using the power leverage", and said the brave and young elites can play a very effective role in obviating the dangers.

Ayatollah Khamenei warned about enemies' plots to weaken the regional countries, and said, "In case enemies fail in their tactics, they will try to foment internal war among the tribes, races and parties and pressure countries by imposing economic sanctions and blocking their assets."

Since the beginning of 2011, the Muslim world has witnessed popular uprisings and revolutions similar to what happened in Iran in 1979.

Tunisia saw the overthrow of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in a popular revolution in January, which was soon followed by a revolution which toppled Hosni Mubarak in Egypt in February.

Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Saudi Arabia and Yemen have since been the scene of protests against their totalitarian rulers, who have resorted to brutal crackdown on demonstrations to silence their critics.
