(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Pakistan's major Islamic party Sunday staged anti-US rallies in big cities to condemn the US policies which the demonstrators said made the world insecure.

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JIP) observed the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks as 'Black Day' and set up protest camps across the country.

Chief of JIP, Syed Munawar Hasan told a rally in the city of Lahore the US will die its natural death before the anniversary of 9/11 attacks next year.

He accused the West of trampling human rights of the Muslims and snatching their liberties.

Munawar Hasan said the US is facing defeat in Afghanistan and is now intruding into Pakistan, urding the people to stand for the supremacy of Islamic civilization.

The Jamaat chief said that the drama of 9/11 was a pre-planned conspiracy to impose US-led war on Muslim Ummah. He said that Muslims would never give-up the path of Jehad despite tactics of Americans.

Munawar Hasan said American forces killed thousands of innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He asked the Pakistani government to quit the US-led coalition as the pro-US policies have gifted suicide attacks to the country. He said the US has failed to impose its so-called New World Order under the excuse of terrorism.

Munawar Hasan asked the government to stop military operations in the tribal regions as these operations have badly affected the whole country.

An anti-US procession was taken out in the port city of Karachi and the demonstrators chanted slogans against the US hegemonic policies.

Jamaat local chief Muhammad Hussain Mehnati led the procession.

Mehnati told the demonstrators that the US is bent upon controlling oil reservoir in the Persian Gulf after killing thousands of people in Iraq.

He asked the people to join the 'Go America Go' movement launched by Jamaat-e-Islami.

In the capital Islamabad, Jamaat activists gathered outside the National Press Club.

They were holding banners and placards, inscribed with anti-US writing and the participants changed slogans ‘Death to America’ and ‘Killer America’.

Demonstrations were also organized in many other cities and the speakers demanded the government to part ways with the US-led coalition and review the pro-US policies.

They said that Pakistan has suffered a lot after joining the so-called international coalition as 35,000 Pakistanis have lost lives in ten years and the country suffered $65 billion losses.

The speakers said pro-US policies have plunged the country into deep sense of insecurity and today mosques and public places are unsafe.
