(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Mr. Numani was among the guests of honor at the 19th International Holy Quran Exhibtion, which concluded on August 26.
“I am a Muslim,” he said. “God says in verse 53 of Surah Fussilat ‘We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and in their own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things?’. This verse made me think for a long time and finally led me to carry out Quranic research and introduce the Book of God to the world through Quranic sciences.”
He said the reason behind the enmity of some people with the Quran is that they have not had the opportunity to get familiar with the Holy Scripture. “If one studies the Quran with pure intention, he will undoubtedly hear the voice of his Fitrat (nature) and believe in the Book of God.”
According to Mr. Numani, it is upon Muslims and Islamic countries to get the world familiar with the Quran through different means including art and cultural activities. He noted that the International Quran Exhibition was a fruitful step toward that direction.
“The Tehran Quran exhibition, with its many different sections featuring Hijab, scientific studies, family, poetry, education, technology, etc, conveys this message to the world that the Holy Quran can guide all human beings in all areas.” Mr. Numani noted that he has been studying Quranic sciences for ten years, publishing numerous papers in the field.
“There are over 6,000 verses in the Holy Quran, 1200 of which contain references to scientific issues. I specifically work on sciences which the Quran has referred to over 1400 years ago.”
He also said that many researchers and scientists, after studying the Quran, have referred to the scientific facts mentioned in the Quran and acknowledged that it has been revealed to the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) heart by God.
