“The Most Beautiful Tarteel” Contest to Kick Off in UAE

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The first part of the competition on the most beautiful Tarteel recitation of the holy Quran will begin today, August 2 at the 6th Ramadan Festival in the UAE. The festival has been organized by the Heritage Association of the country at the Theater Hall in Abu Dhabi.  “The most beautiful Tarteel recitation” contest has been held for male participants aiming to encourage the youth of the country to read the holy Quran and learn Tajweed principles.  Those under 30 years old were allowed to register for the contest which is to be held for two groups of participants, the youth between 16 to 30 and the teenagers between 7 to 15 years of age.  From among the qualifications for attending the competition was being a citizen of the UAE. The participants should also master Tajweed principles.  Consisting of cultural, religious and traditional programs, meetings, contests and theaters, the 6th Ramadan festival will come to an end 3 days following Eid-ol-Fitr./129
