(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Grand Ayatollah Safi Golpaigani has urged the need for obtaining knowledge and said "acquiring science will contribute to the salvation of human being."
“One of the issues that underlined in Islam is studying and attending courses," saying that learning tops all types of Jihad, Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaigani told at a meeting of a group of religious scholars.
“By obtaining knowledge we can discover the unknown issues and via this way we are able to control the world,” the grand Ayatollah said, pointing to the high importance of science and knowledge in Islam.
“Science leads us to the right path,” said the seminary scholar stating that the Islamic science help learn a better lifestyle.
“Today Islamic jurisprudents have a heavy duty,”the grand Ayatollah said as underlined, “our main duty is protecting religion because this religion guarantees the salvation of human being.”
Ayatollah Golpaigani pointed to the economic problems in the society and said,” unfortunately some people try to blame scholars and religious leaders for economic vows and dent people's hope in the Islamic revolution.”
”We always say that government should provide security in the society and by executing the Islamic rules, provide the real justice and fairness for the society,” the seminary scholar said.
