Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and leader of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC), Ammar al-Hakeem, stressed the importance to implement the political agreements and fulfill vacant ministerial posts.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and leader of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC), Ammar al-Hakeem, stressed the importance to implement the political agreements and fulfill vacant ministerial posts.

A statement issued on Sunday, June 5, by the President's Office said, "Talabani met on Sunday evening with Hakeem discussing the general situation in the country and its political situation, as well as means to bring together the political forces toward reaching suitable solutions to outstanding issues that hinder joint work."

It added, "Talabani and Hakeem asserted the importance of implementing agreements reached between political blocs, toward pushing the political process forward, and the necessity to fulfill vacant ministerial posts to enable the government provide basic services to the public, as well as providing security and stability in the country."
