Hashemi Rafsanjani pointed to a momentum in development, science and media as the main cause that sparked the movement and spread throughout North Africa and some Mideast countries, saying that the uprising would lead into freedom and independence of Muslim world.
Ayatollah Hashemi also praised mass demonstration of Palestinian people to commemorate the Nekba Day, right of return day and lauded their valorous act of demonstrators to mark the day on the Lebanese and Syrian border with Israel and Gaza and said that the move is a big stride towards the Palestinian Jihad.
He said that the Israeli army attack on protesters and the murder of dozens of oppressed and defenseless people is a hallmark of Israeli indignation and confusion cause by Islamic movements overshadowing the region.
Israeli forces shooting at pro-Palestinian demonstrators on Israel's borders with the West Bank, Syria, Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip claimed ten lives, and injured some 400 others.
Over the weekend, Israeli forces also attacked ships carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, forcing the ship to Egypt.
