"Enemies sought to confine Iran's power by promoting Iranophobia among the regional nations, but this plot rather increased our country's might and power and Iran could advance all its nuclear activities for it found new ways to confront and defuse the plots of the enemies," Mohseni Ejeii said at a ceremony held to introduce the new prosecutor of the Northwestern Zanjan province on Sunday.
He further pointed to the various attempts, measures and plans devised by the enemies in recent years to bring Iran to its knees, and said, "In recent years, the United States, Zionists and the West, which have received several blows from pure and original Islam, have striven hard to strike back at the Islamic Revolution, but all their plans fell flat due to the insightfulness and wisdom of the Iranian officials and Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei)."
The judiciary official also mentioned that both Washington and Tel Aviv conspired and exercised a number of plots in 2009 to prevent promulgation of Iran's Islamic Revolution in the other world countries, specially those in the Persian Gulf, but to no avail.
He said a look at the present conditions in the region proves the spread of the Islamic Revolution culture and ideals among the regional nations.
In relevant remarks last month Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei had also stressed that the recent developments in North Africa and other parts of the Muslim world signify the impacts of the Islamic awakening inspired by the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
"Today, developments in North Africa, (including) Egypt, Tunisia and some other countries have a special meaning for the Iranian nation," Ayatollah Khamenei said in February, addressing thousands of worshipers on Tehran University campus.
"This is what was always referred to as the Islamic awakening which was started by the victory of the Iranian nation's great revolution," the Leader stated.
