(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Fahad Moayed together with Tareq and Mohammad Hashem have been accused of gathering sensitive information and images of the US military centers in Kuwait, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper al-Rai.
This is indicative of the fact that the three army members have been concerned about the presence of foreign troops in their country.
After the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, American forces occupied a great part of Kuwait's soil and turned it into a military base to prepare their troops for the Iraq war. Many believe US soldiers have killed thousands of defenseless Iraqi civilians.
Now whether the three men should be considered as national heroes as opposed to spies who must be executed is open to question.
Some believe that Kuwait's government has issued the death penalty under pressure from Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi regime has recently sent its troops to Bahrain to intensify the crackdown on peaceful Bahraini anti-government protesters.
Meanwhile, Kuwaiti media allege that the three men have been in contact with Iran's embassy and reported that Kuwait has recalled its ambassador from Tehran.
Kuwait's Parliament Speaker Jassim al- Kharafi, however, had rejected the allegations during his visit to Iran last year.
Analysts believe that if Kuwait maintains its US-dependant media policies, it will deal another major blow to an Arab country following Bahrain's crisis and the Saudi invasion of Bahrain.
