Tehran's interim Friday Prayer Leader, Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani, has said that the popular uprisings in Middle East and North Africa mark the return to Islamic values.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Referring to popular movements in regional countries, especially in Libya and Egypt, Ayatollah Emami Kashani deplored the massacre of Libyan people, while adding that the identity of popular movements is revival of Islamic values.

Tehran's interim Friday Prayer leader called on the regional and Islamic nations to revive the ideology of awaitance for reappearance of the 12th Infallible Imam of the Prophet of Islam, Mohammad (PBUH) Household, Imam Mahdi (May God hasten his reappearance) if they want the popular movements to be conclusive and fruitful.

Ayatollah Emami Kashani also noted that one of the most important reasons behind the victory of Iran's Islamic Revolution, led by the Father of Islamic Revolution, late Imam Khomeini (May his soul rest in peace) was the revival of the ideology of awaitance for reappearance of Imam Mahdi, while adding that Iran's accomplishments are resounding and today the Iranian nation is moving forward in all domains.

He also referred to the Thursday meeting of the chairman and members of the Assembly of Experts with the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Al i Khamenei, while noting that as the Leader pointed out the regional and Islamic nations have been inspired by Iran's Islamic Revolution.
